Lilya

The year is 1915; World War I is underway. In Petrograd, the young Futurist poet Vladimir Mayakovsky meets a married couple, Lilya and Osip Brik. He reads them his poem *A Cloud in Trousers*; Lilya and Osip fall instantly and forever in love with Mayakovsky’s poetry, recognizing an extraordinary talent—a poetic genius—before them. Vladimir, in turn, falls in love with Lilya—also instantly and forever.
