Women, Life, Freedom follows a group of Kurdish women fighters from Rojhilat (Eastern Kurdistan) as they stand on the rugged border facing the Islamic Republic of Iran. Through intimate access to their daily lives, Women, Life, Freedom is a portrait of women who refuse to surrender their sense of freedom, while asking a deeply human question: what are we willing to risk for the right to determine our own future? A film about resistance, courage, identity, and hope at the edge of Iran.
